Braise, Broil, Roast: Jonathan's Intro to 100% Grass-fed Beef
Ever wonder what to do with short ribs, top round roast, brisket, chuck roast, or oxtail? Confused about how and when and what to braise or roast?
Spend a Sunday afternoon at Bobolink, and we'll show you how to braise some beef and winter vegetables on top of our new/old wood stove. Once the braising pot is set up and barely simmering, we'll dress and roast a nice beef roast in the wood-fired oven, and while we are waiting for the "slow food", we can sear a well-marbled steak on the hot hearth bricks, just to keep body and soul together.
At the end of the four-hour class, we'll have a tasting of all the dishes.
If you'd like, for an additional fee, you can bring home an ENTIRE roast or braise for your family and/or friends. Add some bread, cheese and charcuterie, and you've got an instant dinner party!
Participant will also receive a coupon good for a half-price growler of fine ale from our local landmark brewery, The Ship Inn.
